1976Hamilton Bank consists of a thick wedge of Mesozoic and Cenozoic sediments that was built out over a block-faulted, subsiding Precambrian crystalline basement. C-band SAR observations of marginal ice zone rheology in the Labrador Sea
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 1989Synthetic-aperture radar (SAR) imagery collected during the LIMEX'87 field program in the Labrador Sea is used to qualitatively interpret the deformation modes in play throughout the experiment. The ice cover exhibited two distinct rheologies separated by a clear line of shear: a nonlinear viscous outer regime, and a quasi-brittle inner regime.

Forty-two Cretaceous and Paleocene sand samples from offshore Labrador and onshore western Greenland were examined petrographically. The sands were found to be mineralogically and texturally immature, reflecting rapid erosion and transportation from local, high-relief source areas.

Continental slope sedimentation adjacent to an ice margin I. Seismic facies of Labrador Slope
Geo-Marine Letters, 1992Sleeve-gun, 3.5-kHz, and 12-kHz profiles from the Labrador Slope provide the basis for an analysis of sedimentary facies, processes, and evolution of a continental slope adjacent to an ice margin. The upper slope is deeply incised by numerous canyons reflecting headward canyon branching.
