In a previous communication, we, with the use of a radiopaque dye (ethyl iodophenylundecylate; Pantopaque), demonstrated the anatomy and radiographie appearance of the normal lacrimal apparatus. 1 It was found that the time normally required for the contrast medium to disappear from the undiseased lacrimal passages was less than 30 minutes.

IT HAS been almost half a century (1909) since roentgenographic methods were first applied to the study of the lacrimal drainage apparatus. Since then, although many ophthalmologists have had experiences with these methods, there exist only a few isolated papers available as reference material in this field. Conspicuously deficient has been information

Alligator tears: A reevaluation of the lacrimal apparatus of the crocodilians

Is the Lacrimal Apparatus Injured Following Cosmetic Rhinoplasty?
Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1979A study was undertaken to test the validity of the belief that lacrimal apparatus injury is common in patients who undergo a cosmetic rhinoplasty. Dacryocystography was done in 15 patients immediately following the lateral osteotomy, and there was no evidence of lacrimal sac injury or extravasation of the dye in any patient.

LIDS, LACRIMAL APPARATUS, AND CONJUNCTIVA
A.M.A. Archives of Ophthalmology, 1951in 1937 almost entirely disappeared in four years. Hereditary bilateral ptosis, epicanthus, blepharophimosis, dystopia of the lower lacrimal puncta, and hypoplasia of the caruncles occurred in association with limi¬ tation of upward movement of the globes in a 3-year-old boy described by Klein.2 The condition first appeared in the patient's grandfather,

Ocular Adnexae: Eyelids and Lacrimal Apparatus
1986In addition to changes that are generally amenable to plastic surgery, and unimportant from the histopathologic standpoint (e.g., lid colobomas, changes associated with growth and aging such as blepharochalasis, orbital fat prolapse, and dehiscence or total conjunctival ektropium of the orbital septum), the eyelids may suffer from any dermatologic ...
