Postoncological lacrimal duct reconstruction: A practical classification system for reconstructive planning and short-term results of a case series

open access: yesJournal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, 2018
BACKGROUND Surgical resection of skin tumors in the medial canthal area may damage the lacrimal duct and can result in chronic epiphora. Postoncologic reconstruction of the lacrimal duct has not been studied extensively.

Lacrimal Gland Duct Cysts

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1985
ABSTRACT Lacrimal gland duct cysts develop insidiously in the superotemporal cul de sac. They may be preceded by trauma, infection, or inflammation of the conjunctiva. They are often asymptomatic but may induce discomfort, a sensation of fullness, a visible mass, lid distortion or ectropion.

Bilateral Lacrimal Duct Cyst

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1988
ABSTRACT Reports of lacrimal gland cysts have been rare, and mostly of small, unilateral cysts of the palpebral lobes. An unusual case of bilateral, large acquired cysts of the orbital lobe of the lacrimal glands is presented. Pathologic examination showed chronic inflammation and fibrosis of the lacrimal gland structures.
