Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Rolle der einheimischen Frauen im Tourismus in Ladakh. Aus Mangel an Literatur zu diesem Thema beruht ein Großteil der Arbeit auf den Ergebnissen einer Feldforschung, die im Frühling 2008 in Ladakh durchgeführt wurde.
