Clutch and egg size in ladybird beetles

There was a significant positive correlation between the number of ovarioles and clutch size in the 8 species of cocinellid studied. There was no intraspecific correlation between egg size and clutch size under standard conditions. These tactics are discussed in terms of the allocation of resources to reproduction.
