Application of Lagrange equations to 2D double spring-pendulum in generalized coordinates
In this study, the Lagrange’s equations of motion for a 2D double spring-pendulum with a time dependent spring extension have been derived and solved approximately.

A Bubble Rising in Viscous Fluid: Lagrange's Equations For Motion at a High Reynolds Number
A gas bubble rising steadily in a pure liquid otherwise at rest at a moderate Weber number is, to a good approximation, of oblate spheroidal shape. Previous analytical calculations of that shape at high Reynolds numbers have ignored viscosity. This paper

The Hamilton-Jacobi Equations for a Relativistic Charged Particle
In the problem of finding the motion of a classical particle one has the choice of dealing with a system of second order ordinary differential equations (Lagrange's equations) or a single first order partial differential equation (the Hamilton-Jacobi ...

This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between mergers and acquisitions (M&A), board characteristics, and ESG performance in BRICS companies, considering the moderating role of sectoral sensitivity. The study analyzes 11,402 observations from 2293 BRICS companies, employing Two‐Stage Least Squares (2SLS) to address endogeneity and logistic ...

ABSTRACT This study examines corporate environmental reporting practices among listed companies in the European Union during the period 2018–2022, within the context of the Non‐Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). To this end, an Environmental Disclosure Index (EDI) is constructed based on qualitative reporting items, and panel‐data models are ...

Multi-body kinematics and dynamics in terms of quaternions: Langrange formulation in covariant form: Rodriguez approach [PDF]
This paper suggests a quaternion approach for the modeling kinematics and dynamics of rigid multi-body systems. Instead of the regular 'Newton-Euler' and Lagrange method used in the traditional way, Lagrange's equations of second kind in the covariant ...
