A new drag and lift correlation for spherocylinders from fully resolved Immersed Boundary Method
Abstract Many industrial processes deal with non‐spherical particles, e.g., mineral mining and biomass conversion. It is crucial to understand the particles' hydrodynamics to control and optimize these processes. To extend the current state‐of‐the‐art from arrays of spherical particles to spherocylindrical particles, we performed extensive particle ...

Lagrange-Fedosov Nonholonomic Manifolds
We outline an unified approach to geometrization of Lagrange mechanics, Finsler geometry and geometric methods of constructing exact solutions with generic off-diagonal terms and nonholonomic variables in gravity theories.

It is a fact that slippage causes tracking errors in both longitudinal and lateral directions which results to have less travel distance in tracking a reference trajectory. Less travel distance means having energy loss of the battery and carrying loads less than planned.

This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.

Disentangling stellar activity from exoplanetary signals with interferometry
Stellar activity can express as many forms at stellar surfaces: dark spots, convective cells, bright plages. Particularly, dark spots and bright plages add noise on photometric data or radial velocity measurements used to detect exoplanets, and thus lead

Work Versus Force: Simultaneous Processes for Describing Interactions
ABSTRACT Achieving a unified description of interactions remains an open challenge in theoretical physics, which currently describes four fundamental forces. This situation may be viewed differently when interactions are formulated in terms of processes (work as actio) rather than forces (force as actio), not only at the macroscopic level but also at ...

A Hybrid Semi‐Inverse Variational and Machine Learning Approach for the Schrödinger Equation
A hybrid semi‐inverse variational and machine‐learning framework is presented for solving the Schrödinger equation with complex quantum potentials. Physics‐based variational solutions generate high‐quality training data, enabling Random Forest and Neural Network models to deliver near‐perfect energy predictions.

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between mergers and acquisitions (M&A), board characteristics, and ESG performance in BRICS companies, considering the moderating role of sectoral sensitivity. The study analyzes 11,402 observations from 2293 BRICS companies, employing Two‐Stage Least Squares (2SLS) to address endogeneity and logistic ...
