Spectral Parameter Power Series for Zakharov‐Shabat Direct and Inverse Scattering Problems

ABSTRACT We study the direct and inverse scattering problems for the Zakharov‐Shabat system. Representations for the Jost solutions are obtained in the form of the power series in terms of a transformed spectral parameter. In terms of that parameter, the Jost solutions are convergent power series in the unit disk.

Specializations of Generalized Laguerre Polynomials [PDF]

Three specializations of a set of orthogonal polynomials with ``8 different q's'' are given. The polynomials are identified as $q$-analogues of Laguerre polynomials, and the combinatorial interpretation of the moments give infinitely many new Mahonian statistics on permutations.

The Combinatorics of Associated Laguerre Polynomials [PDF]

The explicit double sum for the associated Laguerre polynomials is derived combinatorially. The moments are described using certain statistics on permutations and permutation tableaux. Another derivation of the double sum is provided using only the moment generating function.

Orbital Angular Momentum Holography Using Neural Network and Camera in the Loop
