The $\Lambda \Lambda \to YN$ Weak Transition in Double-$\Lambda$ Hypernuclei

open access: yes, 2003
We calculate the $\Lambda \Lambda \to YN$ transition rate of ${^{\phantom{\Lambda}6}_{\Lambda \Lambda}}$He by the hybrid picture, the $\pi$ and $K$ exchanges plus the direct quark processes. It is found that the hyperon-induced decay is weaker than the nucleon-induced decay, but the former may reveal the short-range mechanism of the weak transition and

The onset of $\Lambda\Lambda$ hypernuclear binding

open access: yes, 2019
Binding energies of light, $A\leq 6$, $\Lambda\Lambda$ hypernuclei are calculated using the stochastic variational method in a pionless effective field theory (EFT) approach at leading order with the purpose of assessing critically the onset of binding in the strangeness S=-2 hadronic sector.

Combining Metal Additive Manufacturing and Casting Technology: High Performance Cooling Channels for Electric Powertrain Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
When realized as inserts in high‐pressure die casting, aluminum cooling channels for electric powertrain components and similar applications typically require a stabilizing filler to survive the process. The present study investigates relinquishing this filler using additively manufactured inserts promising performance improvements.

Lambda-Lambda hypernuclei and stranger systems

open access: yes, 2003
Recent experiments on production of Lambda-Lambda hypernuclei have renewed interest in extracting the Lambda-Lambda interaction from the few events identified since the inception of this field forty years ago. Few-body calculations relating to this issue are reviewed, particularly with respect to the possibility that A=4 marks the onset of Lambda ...

A pair of nonisomorphic $\equiv_{\infty \lambda}$ models of power $\lambda$ for $\lambda$ singular with $\lambda_\omega=\lambda$.

open access: yesNotre Dame Journal of Formal Logic, 1984
On considere L∞λ la logique infinitaire formee en permettant des conjonctions arbitraires de formules et soit des quantifications existentielles soit des quantifications universelles sur des ensembles de plus de λ variables.
