Bipolar complex fuzzy semigroups

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2023
The notion of the bipolar complex fuzzy set (BCFS) is a fundamental notion to be considered for tackling tricky and intricate information. Here, in this study, we want to expand the notion of BCFS by giving a general algebraic structure for tackling ...

A dual graph construction for higher-rank graphs, and $K$-theory for finite 2-graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Given a $k$-graph $\Lambda$ and an element $p$ of $\NN^k$, we define the dual $k$-graph, $p\Lambda$. We show that when $\Lambda$ is row-finite and has no sources, the $C^*$-algebras $C^*(\Lambda)$ and $C^*(p\Lambda)$ coincide.

Menthol‐like cooling compounds, including (R)‐(‐)‐carvone, inhibit the human bitter taste receptors for saccharin and acesulfame K

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We report that some menthol‐like cooling compounds, including (R)‐(‐)‐carvone, act as inhibitors of TAS2R31 and TAS2R43, which are taste receptors responsible for the intrinsic bitter aftertastes of saccharin and acesulfame K. However, there was little correlation between the intensity of the cooling sensation and the potency of bitterness inhibition ...

High Incidence of Sutural Bones, Especially at the Asterion -A South Indian Study

open access: yesOnline Journal of Health & Allied Sciences, 2020
Background: The sutural or wormian bones are small bones that are frequently found within the sutures and fontanelles of the skull. They are often considered to be a simple anatomical variant. They are most commonly located in the lambdoid suture, second

Pharmacokinetics of single oral dose trazodone : a randomized, two-period, cross-over trial in healthy, adult, human volunteers under fed condition

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2015
Objective To assess the bioequivalence of single dose trazodone hydrochloride USP 100 mg tablets administered as an oral dose under fed condition. Methods This study was an open-label, balanced, randomized, two-sequence, two-treatment, two-period, single

$^{6}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$He and $^{10}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$Be hypernuclei calculations with realistic interactions [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Physics, 2003
We study the $^{6}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$He and $^{10}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$Be hypernuclei in the three- and four-body models, respectively, employing harmonic oscillator bases and presently most realistic a-a, a-L and L-L interactions. In order to improve convergence we use correlation functions in the case of $^{10}_{\Lambda\Lambda}$Be.

The Safe Lambda Calculus [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2007
Safety is a syntactic condition of higher-order grammars that constrains occurrences of variables in the production rules according to their type-theoretic order. In this paper, we introduce the safe lambda calculus, which is obtained by transposing (and generalizing) the safety condition to the setting of the simply-typed lambda calculus.

Diffusion‐based size determination of solute particles: a method adapted for postsynaptic proteins

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We present a diffusion‐based approach for measuring the size of macromolecules and their complexes, and demonstrate its use on postsynaptic proteins. The method requires fluorescein‐labelled protein samples, a microfluidic device that maintains laminar flow for said samples, a microscope recording the emitted fluorescent signals, and an analytic ...

A pair of nonisomorphic $\equiv_{\infty \lambda}$ models of power $\lambda$ for $\lambda$ singular with $\lambda_\omega=\lambda$.

open access: yesNotre Dame Journal of Formal Logic, 1984
In this paper, Shelah produces a pair of nonisomorphic \(\equiv_{\infty \lambda}\) models of power \(\lambda\) when \(\lambda\) is singular and \(\lambda^{\omega}=\lambda\). If GCH holds, cf \(\lambda\) \(>\omega\) and \(\lambda >\omega\) imply \(\lambda^{\omega}=\lambda\). On the other hand, if cf \(\lambda\) \(=\omega\), \(M\equiv_{\infty \lambda}N\)

Relevance of Kappa and Lambda Free Light Chains in Autoimmune Astrocytopathy Associated With Anti‐GFAP Antibodies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The kappa‐free light chain (κ‐FLC) index is known to be highly sensitive and specific for diagnosing multiple sclerosis (MS), while little is understood about lambda (λ)‐FLC. This study assessed the κ‐FLC and λ‐FLC indices in autoimmune glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) astrocytopathy.
