Absolute linear instability in laminar and turbulent gas/liquid two-layer channel flow
We study two-phase stratified flow where the bottom layer is a thin laminar liquid and the upper layer is a fully-developed gas flow. The gas flow can be laminar or turbulent.

ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.

DIAGNOSIS OF STEADY-STATE CHARACTERISTICS IN LAMINAR FLOW OF FLUIDS
Laminar flow of fluids is one of the most common forms of motion in oilfield practice. In such a flow regime of fluid, the determination of velocity-flow rate performance which takes into account the rheological properties of the fluid is of great ...

Effects of Velocity Profiles on Measuring Accuracy of Transit-Time Ultrasonic Flowmeter
Ultrasonic wave carries the information for flowing velocity when it is propagating in flowing fluids. Flowrate can be obtained by measuring the propagation time of ultrasonic wave. The principle of transit-time ultrasonic flowmeters used today was based

On Reflection of Shock Waves from Boundary Layers [PDF]
Measurements of the reflection characteristics of shock waves from a flat surface with a laminar and turbulent boundary layer are presented. The investigations were carried out at Mach numbers from about 1.3 to 1.5 and a Reynolds number of 0.9 x 10^4.

Fluid Forces Control Structural Remodeling of Blind‐Ended Lymphatic Microvessels
Using innovative microfluidic biofabrication with fluid mechanical insights, we recapitulated the blind‐ended microanatomy and physiological drainage properties of capillary lymphatics. Our results reveal the interrelationship between intra‐ and extraluminal regions of lymphatic vessels due to flow‐induced sprouting and morphological changes that ...

F-14 VSTFE and results of the cleanup flight test program [PDF]
Flight transition data applicable to swept wings at high subsonic speeds are needed to make valid assessments of the potential for natural laminar flow or laminar flow control for transports of various sizes at various cruise speeds.

This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...
