Impact of flow regime on the performance of anti-biofouling coatings
Biofouling poses significant challenges for marine transportation due to increased skin drag, which results in increased fuel cost and associated $$\text {CO}_2$$ CO 2 emissions.

Giant spin hydrodynamic generation in laminar flow
In spin hydrodynamic generation originating from the coupling of mechanical rotation in a fluid and electron spin, fluid vorticity can be converted into an electric voltage via a spin current.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Heat transfer and flow field in a circular twisted channel
In the present paper, along with experimental study, computational fluid dynamics analysis is performed, using the transition SST model which can predict the change of flow regime from laminar through transition to turbulent.

ABSTRACT Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDS) is an ultra‐rare, ACTA2‐related disorder characterized by severe cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and smooth muscle dysfunction. Using molecular dynamics simulations and in silico drug screening, we identified that sapropterin dihydrochloride (Kuvan) is a candidate capable of ...

Analysis of laminar and turbulent natural, mixed and forced convection in cavities by heatlines
Laminar and turbulent convective heat transfer in a ventilated and non-ventilated cavity was analyzed by heatlines. Heatlines show that in non-ventilated cavities it is possible to estimate the energy path using the streamlines for turbulent flow regime.
