Quality of Physalis (Physalis pubescens L.) juice packaged in glass bottles and flexible laminated packs during storage at 5°C [PDF]
Husk tomato (Physalis pubescens L.) is one of the important 100 species in the Physalis genus of the Solanaceae family. Among unexploited tropical fruits, Physalis is a very promising fruit.

Buckling of laminated-glass beams using the effective-thickness concept [PDF]
Structural stability is one of the design requirements in laminated-glass beams and plates due their slenderness and brittleness. In this paper the equations of the classical Euler theory for buckling of isotropic monolithic beams are extended to ...

Packaging of Macroscopic Material Payloads: Needs, Challenges, Concepts, and Future Directions
This review introduces a unified framework that decomposes any macroscopic packaging system into the payload, packaging material, and packaging strategy and combines them into a conceptual packaging equation: packaging strategy = payload + packaging material.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Influence and Mechanism of Crack Morphology on Post-Fracture Stiffening Effect of SG-laminated Glass
The effect of tension stiffening allows SG-laminated tempered glass to preserve specific post-fracture mechanical performance, which is significantly influenced by crack morphology, including fragment density and distribution.

Glass-Steel Beams as Structural Members of Façades
Glass used in structural applications enables a higher level of transparency in façades. However, attention should be paid to the material specific properties, such as brittleness and its incapability of plastic deformation.

Natural frequencies and damping ratios of multi-layered laminated glass beams using a dynamic effective thickness [PDF]
Multi-layered laminated glass panels are those with at least three monolithic glass layers and two viscoelastic interlayers. Multi-layered laminated glass panels are commonly used in floors, roofs and other horizontal glazing accessible to the public ...

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Post-fracture behavior of laminated plates after human impact test [PDF]
For safety barriers the load bearing capacity of the glass when subjected to the soft body impact should be verified. The soft body pendulum test became a testing standard to classify safety glass plates.
