Plasticity Analysis of Laminated Composite Plates
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1982Elastic-plastic behavior of symmetric metal-matrix composite laminates is analyzed for the case of in-plane mechanical loading. The overall response of the laminate at each instant is derived from the elastic-plastic deformation of the individual fibrous layers, and from their mutual constraints.

Edge Vibrations in Laminated Composite Plates
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1985Plane strain edge vibrations or end modes in laminated composite plates are investigated by means of finite elements. This method is capable of modeling the behavior of any laminate construction whose properties are completely anisotropic within the plane. Two eigenvalue problems involving nonsymmetric matrices are derived.

Edge Effects in Laminated Composite Plates
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1982The attenuation of self-equilibrated edge stress states into the interior of a laminated plate composed of an arbitrary number of bonded, elastic, anisotropic layers is investigated in the context of Saint-Venant’s principle using the exponential decay results of Toupin, Knowles, and Horgan.

Delamination of Laminate Plates
Advanced Materials Research, 2014The paper deals with numerical modeling of delamination of laminate plate consists of unidirectional fiber reinforced layers. The methodology adopts the first-order shear laminate plate theory and fracture and contact mechanics. There are described sublaminate modeling and delamination modeling by the help of finite element analysis. With the interface

Buckling Behavior of Laminated Composite Plates
Journal of Reinforced Plastics and Composites, 2007In this study, the influence of boundary conditions on the buckling load for rectangular plates of various cutout shape, length/thickness ratio, and ply orientation is examined. Boundary conditions consisting of clamped, pinned, and their combinations are considered.

General Solutions of Anisotropic Laminated Plates
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 2003Anisotropic laminates with bending-stretching coupling possess eigensolutions that are analytic functions of the complex variables x+μky, where the eigenvalues μk and the corresponding eigenvectors are determined in the present analysis, along with the higher-order eigenvectors associated with repeated eigenvalues of degenerate laminates.

Plate finite element modeling of laminated plates
Computers & Structures, 1994Abstract A plane finite element is developed based on a lamination theory which includes the effect of transverse shear deformation. In modeling 2-D delaminations in laminated plates, the undelaminated region is modeled by a single layer of plate elements while the delaminated region is modeled by two layers of plate elements whose interface contains

Verification of laminated plate theory for unsymmetrical laminates
Composites, 1991It is shown that the current experimental methods used in the verification of Laminated Plate Theory have not adequately included the coupling deformations existing in unsymmetrical laminated composites. The importance of these coupling deformations is demonstrated on a 0/90 laminated strip.
