A Spatial Data Infrastructure Integrating Multisource Heterogeneous Geospatial Data and Time Series: A Study Case in Agriculture

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2016
Currently, the best practice to support land planning calls for the development of Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI) capable of integrating both geospatial datasets and time series information from multiple sources, e.g., multitemporal satellite data ...

Tributary‐Trunk Sedimentary Links in an Inter‐Dam River Reach: Lessons From Low‐Altitude High‐Gradient Forested Streams, the Dyje River (Czechia‐Austria)

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, Volume 41, Issue 10, Page 2157-2176, December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study employs two measures of connectivity, valley confinement index (VCI) and effective catchment area (ECA), combined with a field survey of active sediment sources (ASS) to unravel the tributary‐trunk sedimentary links in the 42.5 km long inter‐dam reach of the Dyje River, Czech‐Austrian border.

Local Spatial Data Infrastructure as a Service for Efficient Spatial Management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Local spatial data infrastructure level (LSDI) covers managing of data in local administrative units (municipalities and cities). Precisely a local level is specific because the managed data are the most detailed, in the biggest scales, and therefore the

Understanding plaster production in Palaepaphos–Hadjiabdoullah, Cyprus, during the Cypro‐Classical period

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 1437-1452, December 2025.
Abstract This article discusses the results of analytical work on wall and floor plaster from a secular monument excavated on the plateau of Palaepaphos–Hadjiabdoullah (Cyprus). Excavated within the frame of the Palaepaphos Urban Landscape Project (PULP), funded by the University of Cyprus since 2006, the monument is an extensive multifunction workshop

Restore little to improve much: the value of woody linear elements for ecological connectivity across agricultural landscapes

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, Volume 33, Issue 8, November 2025.
Mediterranean Europe is facing significant pressures from agricultural intensification. The European Union (EU) Natura2000 network (N2K) seeks to mitigate habitat loss and fragmentation, but its effectiveness needs to be enhanced through Green Infrastructure (GI) to improve coherence between N2K patches.

Exploiting GPS and RFID field data to validate numerical modelling of large wood transport in the Tagliamento River (Italy)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 12, 30 September 2025.
This study presents a coupled numerical model for large wood (LW) transport during floods, exploiting field data and evaluating transport mechanisms, with insights into model sensitivity and limitations. Abstract This study evaluates the reliability of the ORSA2D_WT model, a Eulerian–Lagrangian model, in simulating large wood (LW) transport in the ...

Native plant species exhibit consistent drought advantage over introduced species until additional global change drivers are included: A grassland meta‐analysis

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 113, Issue 9, Page 2698-2711, September 2025.
We examined how drought, predicted to increase under climate change, influences native and introduced plants in grasslands using a meta‐analysis. Native plants fared better than introduced plants under drought, except when drought was combined with another global change driver.
