Factors influencing land rental market participation: a case study in Northern Ireland

open access: yesBio-based and Applied Economics
Agricultural land mobility through an efficient land rental market has been shown to contribute to the productive and sustainable utilisation of land, by facilitating the transfer of land from less productive farmers to more productive farmers.

Factors affecting renting in and renting out of land in a semi-arid economy of Tigrai, northern Ethiopia: a generalized random effect order probit model

open access: yesCogent Economics & Finance, 2023
In the absence of land sale, the emerging of land rental market among smallholder farmers in developing countries has important implications on land use efficiency, productivity and poverty reduction.

Magnetic Field Driven Microrobot Based on Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based magnetic microrobots synergize remote magnetic control with the biocompatibility of flexible hydrogels, emerging as promising tools for minimally invasive biomedicine. This enables remotely controllable, untethered navigation within complex biological microenvironments.

Prediction model of demand for public bicycle rental based on land use

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2018
Land use is a primary factor affecting the demand for public bicycle rentals. Demand for public bicycle rentals during different periods of time were predicted using the following procedures. First, walking distances from the rental stations where riders

Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

Reassignment-proof rules for land rental problems [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Game Theory, 2019
We consider land rental problems where there are several communities that can act as lessors and a single tenant who does not necessary need all the available land. A rule should determine which communities become lessors, how much land they rent and at which price. We present a complete characterization of the family of rules that satisfy reassignment-

Sialic Acid Sensing via Molecularly Imprinted Polymer on Laser‐Induced Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Sialic acid is an important biomarker for oral and overall health. Salivary levels of sialic acid are linked with oral cancer and other diseases. We develop a point‐of‐care sensor for sialic acid, based on molecularly imprinted aminophenylboronic acid electropolymerized onto laser‐induced graphene.

BioCNTs Mediated Delivery of Systemically Mobile Small RNAs via Leaf Spray to Control Both Tomato DNA and RNA Viruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A carbon nanotube‐based biopesticide system (BioCNTs) enables efficient delivery and systemic movement of RNAi molecules to control major tomato viruses. By integrating shRNA and tRNA‐like structures (TLS) with BioCNTs, this green and scalable approach achieves long‐term silencing and high antiviral efficacy through simple foliar spraying.

Transfer of single farm payment entitlements to farm successors: impact on structural change and rental prices in Switzerland

open access: yesBio-based and Applied Economics, 2013
This paper analyses the impact of tradable and non-tradable single farm payment (SFP) entitlements for farm successors on structural change and the lease market.

Structural and Functional Characterization of EXPO‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles in Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, 3D electron tomography (ET), cryo‐ET, and immunogold transmission electron microscopy (TEM) are employed to characterize plant extracellular vesicles (EVs) under physiological conditions. EVs are classified into three distinct categories according to their size, content, and molecular‐marker profiles. Furthermore, Exo70E2‐positive medium
