Abstract Developing countries, especially those in hot and dry areas, need more attention to achieve sustainable development as they apply excessive inputs in production processes. The present study aims to quantify the amount of environmental emissions and determine the most appropriate pattern of energy use in the date (Phoenix dactylifera L ...

Modelling Land Surface Temperature from Satellite Data and Trigger by Land Use Land Cover Dynamics using Remote Sensing and GIS Technology, in Debra Tabor District, Ethiopia [PDF]
Rapid changes in the land use/land cover (LULC) of a region have become a major environmental concern in recent times. This has led to unsustainable development with the reduction of green spaces and also changes in local climate.

SPATIAL - TEMPORAL ANALYSIS OF URBAN HEAT ISLAND IN TANGERANG CITY [PDF]
Urban Heat Island (UHI) is a phenomenon which is affected by human activities. Land use change by humanactivities, expressed by urbanization that means rural or suburban areas changed to urban areas. This study isintended to identify the UHI phenomena in

Improving land surface temperature modeling for dry land of China [PDF]
[1] The parameterization of thermal roughness length z0h plays a key role in land surface modeling. Previous studies have found that the daytime land surface temperature (LST) on dry land (arid and semiarid regions) is commonly underestimated by land surface models (LSMs).

Exploring DNA Functionalization Techniques for Silver Nanoparticles
This study evaluates four functionalization methods—salt‐aging, pH‐assisted, freezing‐directed, and microwave‐assisted—for attaching DNA strands to 20 nm silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The resulting DNA‐AgNP conjugates are characterized and colloidal stability and DNA loading are assessed.

Replacing fallow with field pea in wheat production systems across western Nebraska
Abstract Integration of field pea (Pisum sativum L.) (FP) into dryland cropping systems has increased due to ecological and economic benefits, paired with a growing market for pea‐derived products. Challenges exist in the High Plains that limit the integration of crop rotations to replace fallow periods with FP in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)‐based ...

DeepLCZChange: A Remote Sensing Deep Learning Model Architecture for Urban Climate Resilience [PDF]
Urban land use structures impact local climate conditions of metropolitan areas. To shed light on the mechanism of local climate wrt. urban land use, we present a novel, data-driven deep learning architecture and pipeline, DeepLCZChange, to correlate airborne LiDAR data statistics with the Landsat 8 satellite's surface temperature product.

Yield estimation of summer maize based on multi‐source remote‐sensing data
Abstract Accurately estimating regional‐scale crop yields is substantial in determining current agricultural production performance and effective agricultural land management. The Yuncheng Basin is an important grain‐producing area in the Shanxi Province. This paper used Sentinel 2A with a spatial resolution of 10 m and MODIS with a temporal resolution
