Spatial and Temporal relationship between NDVI and Land Surface Temperature of Faisalabad city from 2000-2015 [PDF]
The study estimates the land surface temperature of Faisalabad city. For the current study Landsat ETM+ images of 2000, 2003, 2010 and OLI/TIRS 2015 were acquired from USGS of the study area.

Impacts of Land Cover Change on Urban Heat Island (UHI) in Denver from 1985 to 2020 [PDF]
Rapid urbanization due to land use and land cover change has become one of the major problems in the fastest-growing cities during the past few decades. Land surface temperature has changed dramatically due to urban expansion, and it is a major driver of

Abstract Remote sensing (RS) soil moisture retrievals are frequently assimilated into land surface models (LSMs) to enhance model estimates. However, soil moisture data assimilation (DA) efficiency is highly model‐dependent, making it imperative to investigate whether current LSMs can achieve expected DA efficiencies and identify potential model ...

Effects of rapid urbanisation on the urban thermal environment between 1990 and 2011 in Dhaka Megacity, Bangladesh [PDF]
This study investigates the influence of land-use/land-cover (LULC) change on land surface temperature (LST) in Dhaka Megacity, Bangladesh during a period of rapid urbanisation. LST was derived from Landsat 5 TM scenes captured in 1990, 2000 and 2011 and

Inferred catchment‐averaged denudation rates in post‐glacial landscapes do not always reflect true ‘basin‐wide’ denudation rates, and instead represent a mixture of sediment sourced from paraglacial deposits and ‘background’ hillslopes. Our results highlight the role of the glacial legacy on landscape evolution.

Abstract A comprehensive understanding of the processes and mechanisms driving Holocene temperature changes is crucial for resolving the ongoing Holocene temperature controversy. Here, we reconstructed land surface temperature (LST) variations over the past 27,000 years in two loess‐paleosol profiles from the Chinese Loess Plateau based on soil ...
