Principal component based fusion of land surface temperature (LST) and panchromatic (PAN) images
Spatial Information Research, 2020The spatial details of panchromatic (PAN) images are always higher than land surface temperature (LST) images. The main aim of this paper is to develop a fusion technique for PAN and LST images of the LANDSAT8 satellite. The key is to appropriately estimate the spatial details of the PAN images while preserving the LST image’s thermal contents.

Analyzing the urban heat island using time series land surface temperature (LST) data
2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017This study aims to carefully analyze the urban heat island (UHI). Using the LST images from the MODIS and LANDSAT 8, high spatial-temporal resolution LST from May to November in 2013 were generated with the Spatial and Temporal Adaptive Reflectance Fusion Model (STARFM).

Study of Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Land Cover for Urban Heat Island (UHI) Analysis in Dubai
2020 8th International Conference on Reliability, Infocom Technologies and Optimization (Trends and Future Directions) (ICRITO), 2020Cities have been growing and evolving over time to meet the needs of space and fulfilment of function. The growth has been both in the horizontal and vertical direction with varied densities creating an effect of urban heat island. This has different factors being the cause for the temperature increase directly effecting the human comfort level in the ...
