Evaluation of temporal dynamics of land use and land surface temperature (LST) in Agartala city of India

Environment, Development and Sustainability, 2021
The study has been conducted at Agartala Municipal area (AMA) of Tripura, which exhibits rapid population growth and faster land use land cover changes. The major purpose of the study is to understand the dynamics of land use and Land surface temperature (LST) in the city of Agartala.

Effects of urban growth spatial pattern (UGSP) on the land surface temperature (LST): A study in the Po Valley (Italy)

Science of The Total Environment, 2019
Sealed surfaces greatly influence Urban Heat Island (UHI) effects. In this respect, both the composition and spatial patterns of anthropogenic land use play an important role in local thermal pattern. The urban environments' climate change adaptation strategy needs adequate knowledge systems urban planners can use to organise and design more resistant ...

Initial results of the land surface temperature (LST) validation with the Evora, Portugal ground‐truth station measurements

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2008
Meteosat second generation (MSG) provides multispectral data with a high temporal resolution of 15 min. On the basis of these data, the Land Surface Analysis-Satellite Applications facility (LSA-SAF), patronized by Eumetsat, generates and distributes many MSG products. The land surface temperature (LST) is one of its main products. It is generated from

Retrieval and validation of land surface temperature (LST) from NOAA AVHRR thermal images of Gujarat, India

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2003
A study was undertaken to retrieve land (soil-vegetation complex) surface temperature (LST) over a 100 km 2 100 km area in Gujarat (India) using thermal bands (channel 4 and 5) and estimated emissivity from atmospherically corrected NDVI, derived from NOAA-14 AVHRR data.

Principal component based fusion of land surface temperature (LST) and panchromatic (PAN) images

Spatial Information Research, 2020
The spatial details of panchromatic (PAN) images are always higher than land surface temperature (LST) images. The main aim of this paper is to develop a fusion technique for PAN and LST images of the LANDSAT8 satellite. The key is to appropriately estimate the spatial details of the PAN images while preserving the LST image’s thermal contents.

Study of Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Land Cover for Urban Heat Island (UHI) Analysis in Dubai

2020 8th International Conference on Reliability, Infocom Technologies and Optimization (Trends and Future Directions) (ICRITO), 2020
Cities have been growing and evolving over time to meet the needs of space and fulfilment of function. The growth has been both in the horizontal and vertical direction with varied densities creating an effect of urban heat island. This has different factors being the cause for the temperature increase directly effecting the human comfort level in the ...

Utilizing Landsat imageries for Land Surface Temperature (LST) analysis of the Penang Island

2015 International Conference on Space Science and Communication (IconSpace), 2015
The advancement in remote sensing and GIS technologies make it possible to be an effective instrument to extract information of the earth's surface such as temperature without being in direct contact. The satellite imagery of the Landsat Operational Land Imager (OLI) that was launched in 2014 with enhancement of two additional thermal bands as compared
