A Coding SNP in GmPM30 Enhances Soybean Salinity Tolerance and Yield through the GmLEA1‐GmPM30‐GmLEC1 Module

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A natural variation in soybean PM30, GmPM30‐HapT, confers greater salt tolerance than GmPM30‐HapC via stronger GmLEA1‐GmPM30‐GmLEC1 interactions. Pyramiding their elite haplotypes yields additive gains in salt tolerance and yield, establishing a novel workflow linking evolutionary genomics, molecular mechanisms, and breeding applications via the module

Global Evidence of the Unimodal Response of Ecosystem Respiration to Soil Moisture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using global eddy covariance observations and a field experiment, this paper provides compelling evidence for the widespread unimodal relationship between soil moisture and ecosystem respiration and its water adaptation. Such knowledge facilitates understanding of soil moisture in affecting respiratory carbon emissions and has the potential to improve ...

Macroscopically Ordered Piezo‐Potential in All‐Polymetric Solid Electrolytes Responding to Li Anode Volume Changes for Dendrites Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A P(VDF‐TrFE) piezoelectric interlayer is developed for solid‐state Li‐metal batteries. Strategically orienting the piezoelectric field against Li+ migration redirects deposition from dendrite tips to planar regions through potential gradient steering. This results in uniform Li plating and preventing the growth of lithium dendrites.
