Two infrared Yang-Mills solutions in stochastic quantization and in an effective action formalism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Three decades of work on the quantum field equations of pure Yang-Mills theory have distilled two families of solutions in Landau gauge. Both coincide for high (Euclidean) momentum with known perturbation theory, and both predict an infrared suppressed ...

Four-Wave Mixing in Landau-Quantized Graphene [PDF]

open access: yesNano Letters, 2017
For Landau-quantized graphene, featuring an energy spectrum consisting of nonequidistant Landau levels, theory predicts a giant resonantly enhanced optical nonlinearity. We verify the nonlinearity in a time-integrated degenerate four-wave mixing (FWM) experiment in the mid-infrared spectral range, involving the Landau levels LL-1, LL0 and LL1.

Quantum Hall superconductivity from moiré Landau levels

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
It has long been speculated that quasi-two-dimensional superconductivity can reappear above its semiclassical upper critical field due to Landau quantization; yet this reentrant property has never been observed.

Towards a quantum Hall effect for atoms using electric fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
An atomic analogue of Landau quantization based on the Aharonov-Casher (AC) interaction is developed. The effect provides a first step towards an atomic quantum Hall system using electric fields, which may be realized in a Bose-Einstein ...

Landau quantization effects in ultracold atom–ion collisions [PDF]

open access: greenJournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics, 2011
We study ultracold atom-ion collisions in the presence of an external magnetic field. At low collision energy the field can drastically modify the translational motion of the ion, which follows quantized cyclotron orbits. We present a rigorous theoretical approach for the calculation of quantum scattering amplitudes in these conditions.

Dichalcogenide Landau miniband dynamics and spectrum in an antidot superlattice

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
This work addresses the dynamics of carriers in the Group VI dichalcogenides in a quantizing magnetic field with a model anti-dot superlattice in the system.

Quantum mechanics on noncommutative Riemann surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We study the quantum mechanics of a charged particle on a constant curvature noncommutative Riemann surface in the presence of a constant magnetic field. We formulate the problem by considering quantum mechanics on the noncommutative AdS_2 covering space

Thermodynamics of two-dimensional bosons in the lowest Landau level

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We study the thermodynamics of short-range-interacting, two-dimensional bosons constrained to the lowest Landau level. When the temperature is higher than other energy scales of the problem, the partition function reduces to a multidimensional complex ...

Some aspects of an induced electric dipole moment in rotating and non-rotating frames [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2017
Quantum effects on a neutral particle (atom or molecule) with an induced electric dipole moment are investigated when it is subject to the Kratzer potential and a scalar potential proportional to the radial distance.

Landau quantization and spin-momentum locking in topological Kondo insulators

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
SmB6 has been predicted to be a strong topological Kondo insulator and experimentally it has been confirmed that at low temperatures the electrical conductivity only takes place at the surfaces of the crystal.
