Trace gas measurements in landfill gas from closed landfill sites
International Journal of Environmental Studies, 1999Five closed landfill sites in the urban area of Wolverhampton, UK were investigated in order to identify the trace components in landfill gas emitted from each site. 17 different compounds were identified in the gas samples following analysis by gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry.

Landfill Gas Generation and Transport In Bioreactor Landfill
2010The activation gas and water flow each other in Bioreactor Landfill. Based on the porous media seepage and bio-degradation theory, the coupling mathematics model considered the effect of water and waste components decomposition for describing landfill gas flow have been developed, and the simulation cells are performed. The simulation results show: the

Spatio-temporal estimation of landfill gas energy potential: A case study in China
Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2019Municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills are among the largest anthropogenic sources of methane. However, there are also potential sources of landfill gas (LFG), which can be used to produce energy products, meaning that the recycling of LFG has gained ...

Integrated design of multi-stage membrane separation for landfill gas with uncertain feed
Journal of Membrane Science, 2019As a kind of biogas, landfill gas can be of high economic value after purification. Membrane separation is an energy-saving and environmentally benign gas purification technology easy to be assembled and rearranged with the advantage that it keeps stable

Air and landfill gas movement through passive gas vents installed in closed landfills
Waste Management, 2010In a closed landfill, Japan, remedial actions have been undertaken to address the inadequate leachate collection and drainage systems. Part of this process included installing many passive gas vents in the landfill to promote stabilization of landfilled waste.
