A hybrid Tiebout model with vintage housing
Real Estate Economics, EarlyView.Abstract This article examines how spatial variation in housing ages affects income segregation in US cities. We develop a dynamic general equilibrium hybrid Tiebout model with durable housing that combines local public finance and urban land use theories.

Is the rent too high? Land ownership and monopoly power
Real Estate Economics, EarlyView.Abstract Pricing power in real estate markets can reduce housing supply and redevelopment relative to the social optimum. We show how pricing power interacts with popular redevelopment subsidies and zoning regulations. Using building‐level rental income data from NYC, we find that increased concentration is correlated with increased rents.

Accounting &Finance, EarlyView.ABSTRACT This study investigates the economic consequences of IFRS 16 Leases for Australian listed firms, focusing on preparers' responses before adoption. Transitioning from the lease expense method to lease capitalisation significantly affected reported assets and liabilities, particularly for firms with long‐term or high‐value leases.
