Landmine Detection with Drones
Abstract The opposing forces often laid antitank or antipersonnel minefields during wars and other armed conflicts. However, countries those ratified the Ottawa Treaty had abandoned using antipersonnel landmines in the future, the mines laid earlier are still can be found in huge numbers buried under the soil and they cause serious ...

Millimeter-wave detection of landmines
Millimeter wave absorption relative to background soil can be used for detection landmines with little or no metal content. At these frequencies, soil and landmine absorb electromagnetic energy differently. Stepped frequency measurements from 20 GHz to 60 GHz were used to detect buried surrogate landmines in the soil.

Depth fusion for antipersonnel landmine detection [PDF]
In this paper we introduce the concept of depth fusion for anti-personnel landmine detection. Depth fusion is an extension of common sensor-fusion techniques for landmine detection. The difference lies within the fact that fusion of sensor data is performed in different physical depth layers.

Microwave detection of buried mines using non-contact, synthetic near-field focusing [PDF]
Existing ground penetrating radars (GPR) are limited in their 3-D resolution. For the detection of buried land-mines, their performance is also seriously restricted by `clutter'. Previous work by the authors has concentrated on removing these limitations

The COMRADE System for Multirobot Autonomous Landmine Detection in Postconflict Regions
We consider the problem of autonomous landmine detection using a team of mobile robots. Previous research on robotic landmine detection mostly employs a single robot equipped with a landmine detection sensor to detect landmines.

Surveillance Robot for Landmine Detection
Abstract: Landmine detection robots are intended to cover as much of the landmine field as possible in order to detect landmines. The encountered landmines, along with the scanned and residual territory, are represented with millimetre precision on an interactive map.
