Abstract The southeastern US accounts for over 60% of national prescribed (Rx) burning acreage and relies on Rx fire to reduce wildfire risk and sustain forest biodiversity. While ecologically beneficial, Rx fires may introduce smoke‐related risks to surrounding communities.
