Improving Distributed Hydrological Model Robustness Through Multi‐Variable Calibration
The Bayesian Regression Robustness Assessment Test is developed to assess model robustness, based on the strength of the relationship between model error and climate inputs. Calibrating a landscape model to streamflow (Q), groundwater (GW), soil moisture (SM) and leaf area index (LAI) improved model robustness, compared to streamflow alone.

Evapotranspiration Profiles and Trends in Seasonally Dry and Seasonally Humid Tropical Forests
Moisture availability and vegetation are decisive factors in ET variations, which are greater in the Atlantic Forest. Precipitation contributes positively to ET variations (r = 0.20–0.67). Significant trends (p < 0.05) in ET were identified, with opposing patterns.

We studied the effects of urban growth on wildlife near Parque Nacional Marino las Baulas, Costa Rica. Since 1991, buildings increased 1007%, mainly in the buffer zone. We identified eight native species extracting garbage from containers, with raccoons (Procyon lotor) comprising most detections (84%), and four other species being potential sea turtle ...

Eelgrass‐associated invertebrate biodiversity patterns in a subarctic seascape
Abstract Abiotic, biotic, and spatial processes shape patterns of biodiversity in coastal ecosystems. In this study, we test how these processes influence eelgrass‐associated invertebrate diversity in a subarctic seascape. We sampled invertebrate assemblages in 12 meadows along 300 km of coastline in James Bay, Canada, and tested the relative ...

ABSTRACT An agroforestry program is often considered an ameliorative option for land utilization, agricultural production, and environmental sustainability. However, land suitability for agroforestry is not always readily known to farmers and local policy planners.

ABSTRACT The Nacho Nyäk Tagé (Stewart River) watershed in central Yukon (Canada) is characterized by discontinuous permafrost that is locally highly sensitive to thaw. This study aims to map the spatial distribution of permafrost terrain disturbances (PTDs) in the watershed and model thaw susceptibility to support community‐led land‐use planning by the
