Landsat 9 Operational Land Imager2 (OLI2) enhanced on-orbit linearity characterization

Earth Observing Systems XXVI, 2021
Like Landsat 8, Landsat 9 will carry an Operational Land Imager (OLI), a visible to short-wave infrared pushbroom sensor. Referred to as OLI-2, this sensor has 8 spectral bands with about 7000 detectors and one panchromatic band with about 14000 detectors.

Landsat 9 OLI 2 focal plane subsystem: design, performance, and status

Earth Observing Systems XXII, 2017
The Landsat 9 mission will continue the legacy of Earth remote sensing that started in 1972. The Operational Land Imager 2 (OLI 2) is one of two instruments on the Landsat 9 satellite. The OLI 2 instrument is essentially a copy of the OLI instrument flying on Landsat 8.

Monitoring of wetland turbidity using multi-temporal Landsat-8 and Landsat-9 satellite imagery in the Bisalpur wetland, Rajasthan, India

Environmental Research
Satellite imagery has emerged as the predominant method for performing spatial and temporal water quality analyses on a global scale. This study employs remote sensing techniques to monitor the water quality of the Bisalpur wetland during both the pre and post-monsoon seasons in 2013 and 2022.

Expanding the Flooding in Landsat Across Tidal Systems Model to Landsat 5-9 Imagery for Long-Term Marsh Inundation Analysis

Science of The Total Environment
Tidal flooding can significantly impact vegetation pixel reflectance of coastal salt marshes, presenting a problem for remote sensing studies of these highly productive ecosystems. The current study aimed to spatially and temporally expand our previously developed Flooding in Landsat Across Tidal Systems (FLATS) model to detect and analyze the long ...

Mississippi River Delta--April 9, 1976--from Landsat 2: GEOLOGIC NOTES

AAPG Bulletin, 1979
On April 9, 1976, the Landsat 2 satellite made one of its many passes over the Mississippi delta and offshore. A composite image made captures the complex interplay of major dynamic processes at an instant of geologic time. The vivid color contrast and spatial detail of the image permit the user easily to expand the time frame by several orders of ...
