Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

The adequacy of different landscape metrics for various landscape patterns
Pattern Recognition, 2005The behavior of several landscape pattern metrics were tested against various pattern scenarios generated by neutral landscape models, including number of classes, scale-map extent, scale-resolution, class proportion, aggregation level-RULE, and aggregation level-SimMap.

Landscape Metrics and Visual Topology in the Analysis of Landscape Preference [PDF]
Recognition of the value of landscapes, environmentally, economically, and to quality of life—and, importantly, the embedding of these concepts in legislation such as the European Landscape Convention—has led to the need for an ‘objective’ assessment of these values and the potential impact of changes to them.
