Deterministic Modelling in Gis-Based Landslide Hazard Assessment

1995
Deterministic models are based on physical laws of conservation of mass, energy or momentum. In the case of deterministic landslide hazard zonation, distributed hydrological and slope stability programs are used to calculate the spatial distribution of groundwater levels, pore pressures and safety factors.

Landslide Hazard and Risk Assessment

2014
Landslides play an important role in the evolution of landforms and represent a serious hazard in many areas of the World. In places, fatalities and economic damage caused by landslides are larger than those caused by other natural hazards, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and floods.

Assessment of landslide hazard on flysch slopes

2008
Landslides appearance is a geomorphological process associated with soil configuration and structure, hydrogeological parameters, climate and vegetation conditions in which they appear. Hazard represents the likelihood of landslide occurrence at locations with specific local conditions at specific time.

Assessment of landslide hazards in Central America

2013
A landslide hazard assessment program was implemented in Central America. The objective was to develop concepts based on t raphical and geological maps as well as seismic information. The mapping of the landslide hazard was carried out by the method posed by Mora and Vahrson.
