Adsorption of uranium and thorium on new adsorbent prepared from Moroccan oil shale impregnated with phosphoric acid [PDF]
Attention has been focused recently on the production of new adsorbents from Moroccan oil shale of Tarfaya (layer R3) by chemical activation with phosphoric acid and its application in wastewaters treatment.

ABSTRACT The continuous increasing discharge of synthetic dyes into aquatic systems seems to be an important environmental and health risk due to their high toxicity and resistance to biodegradation. Among these dyes, methylene blue (MB) and Congo red (CR) are widely used in textile and industrial applications, necessitating sustainable and efficient ...

ABSTRACT This study successfully prepared magnetic iron/cobalt codoped biochar catalyst (CFSBC) using a one‐step calcination method. The morphology and structure of the material were systematically characterized using SEM, XRD, FTIR, TEM, BET, Raman, VSM, and XPS techniques. The effects of key parameters such as catalyst dosage, peroxymonosulfate (PMS)

Langmuir Adsorption on Fractal Surfaces
We developed two new methods for analyzing the fractal characteristics of adsorbents. In the first method, the fractal dimension of the adsorbent is determined based on the Hurst index (H) calculated for the random process of development of the Langmuir ...

Adsorption Characteristics and Mechanisms of Dibutyl Phthalate on Nanomaterials
ABSTRACT Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is a widely used plasticizer whose environmental release poses significant risks to ecosystems and human health. This study systematically investigated DBP adsorption on three common nanomaterials—titanium dioxide nanoparticles (n‐TiO2), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and carboxylated MWCNTs (MWCNTs‐COOH)—using ...

ABSTRACT Environmental pollution from textile dyeing wastewater, particularly the discharge of harmful dyes like methylene blue (MB), poses a significant challenge. This study presents an innovative solution for dyeing wastewater treatment by utilizing durian husk, an agricultural waste, as an adsorbent for MB removal.

Breakdown of Langmuir Adsorption Isotherm: Adsorptions at Small Scales
For more than a century, monolayer adsorptions in which adsorbate molecules and adsorbing sites behave ideally have been successfully described by Langmuir adsorption isotherm. For example, the amount of adsorbed material, as a function of concentration of the material which is not adsorbed, obeys Langmuir's equation.
