A Pore or not a Pore? Understanding Pore Size Distributions of Non‐Graphitic Carbon and Atomically‐Dispersed M‐N‐C Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gassorption analysis of in‐plane functionalized carbons reveals small, uniform ultramicropore signatures as potential artefacts of specific adsorption of the probe gases. Low‐pressure Langmuir fitting links these features to distinct functionalities via adsorption energies, enabling straightforward quantification of otherwise inaccessible surface‐site ...

Comparison of the interactions of daunorubicin in a free form and attached to single-walled carbon nanotubes with model lipid membranes

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2016
In this work the interactions of an anticancer drug daunorubicin (DNR) with model thiolipid layers composed of 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphothioethanol (DPPTE) were investigated using Langmuir technique.

From Fluoride Removal to Interfacial Reactivity Enhancement: Functionalized La3+‐Crosslinked B/CuO Energetic Microspheres

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fluoride adsorption‐functionalization strategy directly couples fluoride wastewater remediation with combustion performance enhancement of B/CuO energetic microspheres. Fluoride captured from wastewater is retained within the microspheres without adsorbent regeneration or disposal, simultaneously achieving pollutant removal and enhanced energetic ...

Surface investigation of chitosan film with fatty acid monolayers [PDF]

open access: yesMaejo International Journal of Science and Technology, 2009
The surface pressure- molecular area (-A) isotherm curves of two fatty acids of different chain lengths, i.e. stearic (C18) and arachidic (C20) acids, were obtained by using Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique.

Design and Performance of a High‐Efficiency Inhibitor: Synergistic Effect of Modified Chitosan and Boron Nitride Nanosheets on Steel Protection

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal corrosion causes significant economic losses and safety hazards, underscoring the urgent need for effective, environmentally friendly corrosion inhibitors. In this study, an organic–inorganic composite inhibitor, chitosan–glucose–BN (CS–GL–BN) was developed to protect Q235 mild steel in a 3.5‐wt% NaCl solution.

Sustainable and Efficient Removal of Organic Dyes From Water Using a Graphene Oxide‐Conjugated PEGylated Polystyrene Resin

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide‐functionalized PEGylated polystyrene (PS‐PEG@GO) resin is developed as a recoverable, reusable adsorbent for cationic dye removal from water. Combining efficient multi‐dye adsorption with simple filtration‐based recovery and stable reuse, it retains over 90% removal for CV and MB and 89.19% and 85.15% for R6G and RB after 20 cycles ...
