This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Pretrained Language Models as Containers of the Discursive Knowledge
Discourses can be treated as instances of knowledge. The dynamic space in which the trajectories of these discourses are described can be regarded as a model of knowledge. Such a space is called a discursive space.

Some studies on second language learning show that learners cannot reach the level of native speakers. Even at an advanced stage, learners' productions can be characterized by phenomena known as "fossilisation" and "nativisation" (Selinker & Lamendella ...

Space and time in Vietnamese heritage language maintenance
This paper provides a qualitative account of Vietnamese language maintenance in Manchester. Through ethnographic observations of distinctly Vietnamese locations, Vietnamese language practices are shown to create spaces in which Vietnamese is the dominant language, and in which Vietnamese norms and expectations, or scales, are able to influence and ...

Tensor network states in time-bin quantum optics
The current shift in the quantum optics community towards large-size experiments -- with many modes and photons -- necessitates new classical simulation techniques that go beyond the usual phase space formulation of quantum mechanics.

Complexity Theory and the Operational Structure of Algebraic Programming Systems [PDF]
An algebraic programming system is a language built from a fixed algebraic data abstraction and a selection of deterministic, and non-deterministic, assignment and control constructs. First, we give a detailed analysis of the operational structure of an
