Mirrors and Memory in Quantum Automata [PDF]
In this paper we start from the simplest form of Quantum Finite Automata (QFAs), namely Measure-Once QFAs with cut-point. First we elaborate on a variant of their semantics that can be obtained through a shift from the Schrödinger to the Heisenberg ...

Tree-based generation of languages of fractals [PDF]
The notion of P-interpreted top-down tree generators is introduced, combining the nondeterministic nature of grammars as known from formal language theory with the infinite refinement of pictures studied in fractal ...

Decision Problems for Recognizable Languages of Infinite Pictures [PDF]
International audienceAltenbernd, Thomas and Wöhrle have considered in [ATW02] acceptance of languages of infinite two-dimensional words (infinite pictures) by finite tiling systems, with the usual acceptance conditions, such as the Büchi and Muller ones,

ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.

Expressiveness and Decidability of Weighted Automata and Weighted Logics [PDF]
Automata theory, one of the main branches of theoretical computer science, established its roots in the middle of the 20th century. One of its most fundamental concepts is that of a finite automaton, a basic yet powerful model of computation. In essence,

Early Impact of Childhood Opportunity on Neurocognitive Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease
ABSTRACT Introduction Neurocognitive impairment is a well‐recognized complication of sickle cell disease (SCD) that begins early in childhood and persists across development. While cerebrovascular injury contributes substantially to risk, neurocognitive deficits are also observed in children without overt or silent cerebral infarctions, suggesting ...

Quantitative Automata and Logic for Pictures and Data Words [PDF]
Mathematical logic and automata theory are two scientific disciplines with a close relationship that is not only fundamental for many theoretical results but also forms the basis of a coherent methodology for the verification and synthesis of computing ...
