Lithium Metal Anode Fabrication: Methods, Challenges, and Strategies

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of four representative fabrication techniques for thin lithium metal anodes: extrusion, molten lithium infusion, electroplating, and physical vapor deposition (PVD). ABSTRACT The pursuit of ultra‐high energy‐dense lithium‐metal batteries (LMBs) has reignited the drive to fabricate ultrathin high‐quality lithium metal anodes. This

Thermal behaviour of lanthanum(III) alkanoates

open access: yes, 2001
The mesophase behaviour of the lanthanum(III) alkanoates [La(CxH2x+1COO)(3)] (x = 3-19) has been investigated by hot-stage polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and high-temperature X-ray diffraction.

Recent Advances of Perovskite Oxides for Air Pollution Control Chemistry: The Closed Loop From Design to Application

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review summarizes a descriptor‐guided framework for linking theoretical calculations, in situ/operando characterization, synthesis regulation, and application screening in functional materials. Emphasis is placed on dynamic structure–property relationships that enable low‐cost material design with enhanced activity, stability, and environmental ...

Synergistic‐Induced Perovskite Phase Distribution and Lattice Stabilization for Efficient and Stable Sky‐Blue PeLEDs

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
We have developed a multifunctional buried‐interface engineering strategy using phenethylammonium thiocyanate to regulate quasi‐2D perovskite crystallization and stabilize the lattice. The synergistic effects of SCN− and PEA+ steric confinement promote phase redistribution toward n = 2, suppressing interfacial defects and enabling the production of ...

Synthesis, spectral and thermal studies of biologically active complexes of lanthanum(III) with N-alkylphenothiazines [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Six N-alkylphenothiazines have been used to synthesize the complexes of lanthanum(III) of the general formula La(L)(2)(NO3)(2)]NO3, (where L = N-alkylphenothiazine).

Switching to lanthanum carbonate monotherapy provides effective phosphate control with a low tablet burden

open access: yes, 2008
BACKGROUND: Despite recognized risks associated with hyperphosphataemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) Stage 5 on dialysis, the achievement of target levels of serum phosphate is poor. It is likely that this is partly due to poor adherence

Anode/Electrolyte Interfacial Engineering Toward Sustainable and Practical Solid‐State Metal‐Sulfur Batteries: A Prospective Review

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Coordinated engineering of the anode, electrolyte, and interface underpins the rational design of next‐generation solid‐state metal‐sulfur batteries. Solid‐state metal‐sulfur batteries are emerging as a transformative energy storage platform with the potential to overcome the fundamental limitations of conventional flooded cells, particularly ...

Doped Ta3N5 Semi‐Transparent Photoanode Enabling Stable Solar Redox Flow Cell Operation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Synergistic Al:TiO2 underlayer and La doping stabilize semitransparent Ta3N5 photoelectrodes for over 90 h of continuous operation in alkaline solution. The solar redox flow cell demonstrated 12 photocharge–discharge cycles at ∼55% coulombic efficiency using a K4Fe(CN)6|1,5‐DHAQ chemistry. Solar redox flow cells (SRFCs) are photoelectrochemical devices
