Advances in 3D Bioprinting for Breast Cancer Modeling: Tumor Microenvironment, Metastasis, and Drug Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Three‐dimensional bioprinting transforms breast cancer modeling from simple constructs into spatially organized, multicellular, perfused, and patient‐derived platforms. This review shows how bioinks, cellular composition, architecture, and flow govern tumor behavior and drug response, while revealing why complexity alone is insufficient without ...

Three dimensional geometrical and material nonlinear finite element analysis of adhesively bonded joints for marine structures

open access: yes, 2005
The use of adhesive bonding as a structural joining method has been gaining recognition in marine industry in recent years, though it has been widely adopted in other fields such as aerospace, automobiles, trains and in civil constructions.

Dimensioning of the bonded lap joint

open access: yesResearch in Agricultural Engineering, 2010
Bonded joint is a complex assembly, which creation and following use is limited by a range of factors. The primary factors are the properties of the bonded material and of the adhesive.

Parity‐Dependent THz Harmonic Generation in Electrically Pumped Micro‐Lasers Exploiting Topological Insulator–Metamaterial Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Topological insulator–metamaterials integrated with electrically driven terahertz quantum cascade lasers enable parity‐dependent harmonic generation. Bulk‐dominated Bi2Se3 favors third‐harmonic emission at 9.96 THz, whereas topological‐surface‐state‐dominated Bi2Se3, Bi2Te3, and (Bi,Sb)2Te3 generate strong second harmonics near 6.5 THz.

Study on the Lateral Force of the Single Lap Joint of Composite Laminates

open access: yesHangkong gongcheng jinzhan, 2018
In the composite material single lap joint structure, due to the eccentricity of the load, the lateral force is generated in the lap joint, which causes the lateral displacement of the joint and deflects the bolt.

3D‐Printed Corneal Substitutes: Materials, Fabrication, and Preclinical Progress

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Successful clinical translation of 3D‐printed corneal substitutes relies on the interplay between the bioink properties, cellular component, and the fabrication process. These factors influence the critical properties of the construct, including optical transparency, mechanical stability, suture retention, that ultimately govern long‐term stromal ...

Experimental and Theoretical Study on the Flexural Mechanism of Spliced Timber Columns Under Four-Point Bending Loading

open access: yesBuildings
To study the effects of different spliced forms and spliced lengths on the flexural performance of traditional spliced timber columns, four-point bending tests were conducted. A total of 14 specimens were designed across three groups, including one group

A Sustainable Bio‐Based Epoxy Thermoset as a High‐Performance Alternative to BPA‐Based Resins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rigid–flexible bio‐based epoxy network integrates soybean oil, lignin, and maleic anhydride to overcome the strength–toughness–sustainability trade‐off of conventional BPA epoxy. The thermoset delivers excellent performance as both a structural adhesive and a matrix for glass‐fabric composites, while enabling pH‐responsive degradation, environmental ...
