Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

Journal of Laparoendoscopic Surgery, 1993
A technique for laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication is described and a series of 11 cases is presented. The technique secures the patient to the operating table with three safety straps and the patient is then placed in a reverse Trendelenburg position with the hips flexed.

Robotic laparoscopic fundoplication

Current Treatment Options in Gastroenterology, 2005
Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a very common disorder, and both medical and surgical treatments have shown outstanding results. Whereas proton pump inhibitors are the mainstay of treatment, laparoscopic fundoplication has become a very attractive alternative due to its efficacy and low morbidity.

Laparoscopic Rosetti fundoplication

Surgical Endoscopy, 1994
Early experiences with laparoscopic fundoplication using the Rosetti technique are presented and compared with retrospective results from conventional fundoplication procedures. A 360 degrees floppy fundoplication was laparoscopically constructed without division of short gastric vessels. We have performed 60 consecutive procedures.

Laparoscopic Fundoplication and Gastrostomy

Seminars in Pediatric Surgery, 2002
Minimally invasive surgical approaches to various pediatric surgical disease processes are becoming the standard of care. Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication is transitioning toward the preferred method for the surgical correction of gastroesophageal reflux (GER) disease in infants and children that do not respond to medical management or have ...

Laparoscopic Redo Nissen Fundoplication

Journal of Laparoendoscopic & Advanced Surgical Techniques, 1997
Nine patients underwent redo laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication because of failed primary laparoscopic antireflux procedure. Symptoms prior to reoperation included heartburn (n = 5), dysphagia (n = 2), dysphagia and heartburn (n = 1), and early satiety and epigastric pain (n = 1).

Laparoscopic tailored Nissen fundoplication

Surgical Endoscopy, 2010
It is difficult sometimes to determine the suture points for proper Nissen fundoplication under laparoscopy. We introduce a new procedure to define the suture points in Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication (LNF).After dissection of the hiatus and mobilization of the fundus, the circumference of the esophagus c is measured at a point 2-cm cranial from the

Laparoscopic Versus Conventional Fundoplication

Journal of Laparoendoscopic Surgery, 1995
The operative and short-term results of 29 patients who had an open fundoplication were compared to 36 patients who had a laparoscopic fundoplication. The operative time was 2.8 +/- 0.4 and 3.1 +/- 0.3 h for the open and laparoscopic procedure, respectively.

Laparoscopic floppy Nissen fundoplication

The American Journal of Surgery, 1999
Good results for antireflux surgery are obtained when proper patients are selected, trained surgeons perform the operation, and proper techniques are used. As our prior results showed higher rates of dysphagia without fundus mobilization (Nissen-Rossetti fundoplication), we now perform complete mobilization on all patients.

Outpatient Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

AORN Journal, 2002
ABSTRACTGastroesophageal reflux disease affects more than 40% of Americans, causing heartburn and reflux of gastric contents into the esophagus when bending or lying down. Lifestyle modification, such as weight loss and a diet rich in protein and low in fat and glucose, should increase the patient's resting lower esophageal sphincter pressure. Avoiding

Laparoscopic partial fundoplication vs laparoscopic Nissen-Rosetti fundoplication

Surgical Endoscopy, 1997
Since 1992, all patients at our institution who have met standard accepted criteria for surgical intervention for complicated gastroesophageal reflux disease have been entered into a prospective sequential clinical study to evaluate outcomes of the laparoscopic approach to the Nissen-Rosetti procedure and a modified Toupet procedure.A standardized ...
