Although antireflux surgery offers very good results and patient's satisfaction, the referral rate to the surgeon remains very low. We present our experience with a less-invasive procedure that would result in minimal pain and very rapid return to normal activities and thus might lead to earlier referral.

We present a single surgeon's experience with a posterior partial valve. Between May 1993 and May 2002, we operated on 574 children using Toupet's procedure.
