Vascular clamp stabilization of pylorus during laparoscopic pyloromyotomy

We describe a technique of grasping the pylorus during laparoscopic pyloromyotomy using a percutaneously inserted vascular clamp. The use of the vascular clamp results in better visualization and stabilization during laparoscopic pyloromyotomy.

Laparoscopic pyloromyotomy (LP) for the treatment of infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (IHPS) is a clean case with low expected rates of postoperative surgical site infection (SSI).
