A discrete Laplace–Beltrami operator for simplicial surfaces [PDF]
We define a discrete Laplace-Beltrami operator for simplicial surfaces (Definition 16). It depends only on the intrinsic geometry of the surface and its edge weights are positive.

Perturbation results involving the 1-Laplace operator
We consider perturbed eigenvalue problems of the 1-Laplace operator and verify the existence of a sequence of solutions. It is shown that the eigenvalues of the perturbed problem converge to the corresponding eigenvalue of the unperturbed problem as the ...

Codomains for the Cauchy-Riemann and Laplace operators in ℝ2
A codomain for a nonzero constant-coefficient linear partial differential operator P(∂) with fundamental solution E is a space of distributions T for which it is possible to define the convolution E*T and thus solving the equation P(∂)S=T.

Application of dynamic modelling and model‐based predictive control to enhance a cooling tower
Model predictive control (MPC) applied to improve the operation of cooling towers. Abstract Model predictive control (MPC) differs from traditional feedback control by making predictions within a time horizon, providing better control actions for the process.

Laplace operator with δ-like potentials
We study the Laplace operator in a punctured domain in a Hilbert space. We obtain an analog of the Green formula and a class of self-adjoint extensions of the Laplacian.

Impact of QSW‐ZVS on Input EMI Filter Design in DC‐DC Converters
This paper analyzes the impact of quasi‐square wave zero voltage switching (QSW‐ZVS) on passive EMI filter design for DC‐DC buck converters. The extra element theorem (EET) is used to derive the design quantities that ensure converter performance is not altered, and the resulting damping element values are compared with those of traditional converters.

On the Design of a Class of Analog Filters Whose Impulse Response Is a Mittag‐Leffler Function
Fractional‐order filters whose impulse response is a Mittag‐Leffler (M‐L) function in any of its known forms are summarized in this work. Simulation results using Cadence and experimental results using an FPAA validate the introduced concept. ABSTRACT Fractional‐order filters whose impulse response is a Mittag‐Leffler (M‐L) function in any of its known

Kinetic Contribution to the Arbitrary Order Odd Frequency Moments of the Dynamic Structure Factor
ABSTRACT An exact expression is derived for the kinetic contribution to the odd (arbitrary order) frequency moments of the dynamic structure factor via a finite summation that features averages of even (all lower orders) powers of the momentum over the exact momentum distribution.
