Frequency dependence of output voltage generated from bundled compound magnetic wires [PDF]
The output voltage generated from bundles of twisted Vicalloy wires was studied. When the magnetically soft layers of the wires were reversed by an applied external magnetic field, a pulse voltage, owing to a large Barkhausen jump, was induced in a ...

Utilizing a novel (Ni81Fe19/Ti)4/Cu/(Ni81Fe19/Ti)4 thin‐film multilayer with low coercive field, low damping and a superior GMI ratio, a compact, low‐noise unbiased FMR‐driven integrated GMI sensor with a superior magnetic noise performance of ≈100 pT/√Hz is first demonstrated, owing to reduced phase noise from well‐defined aligned magnetic domains and

Magnetic properties of Fe-based amorphous magnetic microwires
The magnetic characteristics of Fe-based cast amorphous glass-coated microwires (with a positive magnetostriction constant) have been studied. The residual stress distributions in this type of microwires determine the domain structures and the switching ...

Carbon footprint assessment and reduction strategies for aquaculture: A review
Abstract Aquaculture generates less greenhouse gas emissions compared to other agriculture practices due to its limited land‐use changes, improved feed conversion rates, and reduced methane emissions from animals' digestive systems. The aquaculture carbon emissions come from various production stages, including feed production, farm operations ...

Barkhausen noise (BN)‐ and eddy currents (EC)‐based sensor systems were tested to detect deformation‐induced martensite during flow forming of austenitic steel 304L. The results with EC have advantages over those with BN due to the good correlation with reference α′‐martensite measurements and the low influence of factors such as roughness.

Abstract Management of building materials’ stocks and flows is a major opportunity for circularity and de‐carbonization. We examine the relationship between material consumption and associated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under different scenarios in Israel, a developed country with an already high population density that expects tremendous growth in

The use of magnetic micro - and nanowires for hypertermia [PDF]
It is known that a cast amorphous micro - and nanowire in glass encapsulation (coated) (CAMNWGC) with positive magnetostriction possesses a rectangular hysteresis loop and its magnetization is reversed by a large Barkhausen jump (LBJ), the coercive force

A hydrogen‐based magneto‐ionic effect is demonstrated for Co/Pd multilayers. It is shown that hydrogen concentration in the multilayers can be set electrochemically via the applied voltage. The hydrogen concentration is quantified by coulometry and directly correlated with the magnetic properties.
