A Large Misalignment between Continuous Jet and Discrete Ejecta in Microquasar GRS 1915+105 during Its Obscured Phase

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
We report a large misalignment between the continuous jet and the discrete ejecta in GRS 1915+105, detected in 2023 April with the East Asian VLBI network (EAVN).

Reconnaissance Peptide Labeling Grain Boundary of Chemically Grown MoS2 Polycrystalline Monolayer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled peptides on substrates, through adsorption and aggregation, offer an alternative way to label grain boundaries in chemically grown single‐layer polycrystalline MoS2. During an early nucleation step, peptides preferentially bind to grain boundaries.

Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

QCD axion on hilltop by a phase shift of π.

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We show that the initial misalignment angle of the QCD axion (or axion-like particles) can be set very close to π, if the QCD axion has a mixing with another heavy axion which induces the phase shift ≈ π after inflation.

Micromachined Double‐Membrane Mechanically Tunable Metamaterial for Thermal Infrared Filtering

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2025.
Herein, a mechanically tunable double‐layer plasmonic metamaterial leveraging the extraordinary optical transmission effect observed in subwavelength arrays of openings within thin metal layers is presented. The concept is experimentally validated by integrating the proposed metamaterial structure into an electrostatic parallel‐plate actuator to create

Early Planet Formation in Embedded Disks (eDisk). XIX. Structures of Molecular Outflows

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
As part of the ALMA Large Program “Early Planet Formation in Embedded Disks,” ^12 CO (2–1) was observed towards 19 nearby low-mass protostars. Of these objects, 15 sources are found to show molecular outflow emission.

Automated Geo/Co-Registration of Multi-Temporal Very-High-Resolution Imagery

open access: yesSensors, 2018
For time-series analysis using very-high-resolution (VHR) multi-temporal satellite images, both accurate georegistration to the map coordinates and subpixel-level co-registration among the images should be conducted. However, applying well-known matching

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.
