Optimization Problems with Large Parameters
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1973The asymptotic behavior of the solution to a constrained minimization problem, when one or more coefficients of linear parts of the objective function becomes infinite, is studied. It is shown that, under certain circumstances the asymptotic behavior is calculable by solving another extremum problem with additional constraints.

Large-angle light scattering at large size parameters
Applied Optics, 1992The generalized eikonal amplitude for light scattering at large size parameters by a dielectric sphere is modified to account more rigorously for the phase-change difference caused by the presence of the medium. The resulting amplitude is shown to work well for scattering at large angles.

Accurate relaxation parameters for large proteins
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2004The practical applicability, performance, and robustness of three-way decomposition (TWD) for the extraction of relaxation parameters are demonstrated for a large protein with 370 residues, the maltose binding protein. An ordinary set of seven relaxation-modulated (15)N HSQC spectra, recorded at another site, is systematically analyzed.

Parameter plane analysis for large scale systems
Guidance and Control Conference, 1980The parameter-plane analysis technique recently has been extended to enable the analyst to portray stability regions for large-scale systems. In this paper the previous restriction on order of the system to be analyzed has been relaxed by implicitly assuming a model of the system.

This paper presents generalization of scattering parameters to nonlinear circuits, overviews their applications and discusses their limitations. Those limitations were not a problem as long as the devices under test were matched at all ports. However the software tools that allow arbitrary settings can be easily misused.
