The Dynamics of the Logistic Equation with Delay and Delayed Control

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2014
Dynamical properties of a logistic equation with delay and delay control are studied by asymptotic methods. It is shown that effective control of characteristics of relaxation cycle is possible.

The Impulse-Refractive Mode in the Neural Network with Ring Synaptic Interaction

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2017
In the paper, a mathematical model of a neural network with an even number of ring synaptic interaction elements is considered. The model is a system of scalar nonlinear differentialdifference equations, the right parts of which depend on large ...

Dipolar Order Parameters in Large Systems With Fast Spinning [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2021
Order parameters are a useful tool for quantifying amplitudes of molecular motions. Here we measure dipolar order parameters by recoupling heteronuclear dipole-dipole couplings under fast spinning. We apply symmetry based recoupling methods to samples spinning under magic angle at 60 kHz by employing a variable flip angle compound inversion pulse.

Treating the Solid Pendulum Motion by the Large Parameter Procedure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2020
In this paper, we consider the dynamical description of a pendulum model consists of a heavy solid connection to a nonelastic string which suspended on an elliptic path in a vertical plane.

Parameter estimation for a large catchment [PDF]

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Water Resources, 2017
AbstractEstimation of parameter values is an essential step in the application of catchment modelling systems. This step is time-consuming and requires considerable effort. While a variety of approaches have been developed to accelerate the process, this paper proposes a method to reduce significantly the number of parameters for a large catchment when

Parameter sensitivity for large deformation inelastic problems

open access: yesComputer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science, 2023
The algorithm for parametric sensitivity assessment for both materially and geometrically nonlinear static problems is presented. Similarly to its geometrically linear version presented elsewhere, the sensitivity analysis is shown to reduce to a linear ...

Order parameter fluctuations in natural time and b-value variation before large earthquakes [PDF]

open access: yesNatural Hazards and Earth System Sciences, 2012
Self-similarity may stem from two origins: the process increments infinite variance and/or process memory. The b-value of the Gutenberg-Richter law comes from the first origin.

Structural Parameter Optimization for Large Spacing Sublevel Caving in Chengchao Iron Mine

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Non-pillar sublevel caving is beginning to use large structural parameters in China. Appropriate structural parameters can effectively control the loss and dilution of stope and improve ore drawing efficiency. In this study, taking Chengchao Iron Mine as

Large sample asymptotics for the two-parameter Poisson--Dirichlet process

open access: yes, 2008
This paper explores large sample properties of the two-parameter $(\alpha,\theta)$ Poisson--Dirichlet Process in two contexts. In a Bayesian context of estimating an unknown probability measure, viewing this process as a natural extension of the ...
