Opinion and report of the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) on the assessment of the impact of fox population dynamics on public health

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) can be hunted as a game species. It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others. Conversely, benefits linked to the presence of foxes are also put forward, such as the predation of rodents carrying zoonotic agents.

Discovery of Novel Thiazolohydrazone Derivatives as an Alternative Option in the Treatment of Zoonotic Toxocara canis: In Vitro and In Silico Evaluation

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 1, January 2025.
The study revealed that, when evaluating all thiazolohydrazone derivatives together, Compounds 3g and 3h possessed the highest antiparasitic efficiency, encouraging further molecular dynamics investigations on these compounds. ABSTRACT Thiazoles serve as pharmacophores in many molecules that exhibit significant biological activity.

Identifying Zoonotic Parasites in Domiciled and Non‐Domiciled Dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) Within an Urban Zone of the Eastern State of Mexico

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 10, Issue 6, November 2024.
