Pediatric Bilateral Vestibular Hypofunction: A Review of 26 Cases

We report a pediatric cohort of patients with peripheral bilateral vestibular hypofunction (BVH) at a multidisciplinary, tertiary care pediatric vestibular clinic. Patients frequently had history of sensorineural hearing loss and developmental delays, with associated vestibulo‐ocular reflex (VOR) impairments during testing.

Increasing Incidence of Facial Nerve Disorders in the United States from 2007 to 2022

In this study of national administrative claims data from 2007 to 2022, the mean annual incidence of facial nerve disorders was 30.5 cases per 100,000 adults. The mean annual incidence of Bell's palsy alone was found to be 24.5/100,000, with increasing annual incidence rates during the study period.

Inconsistent Associations of Modified Frailty Index‐5 With Adverse Head and Neck Reconstruction Outcomes

In a nationwide cohort of 5,573 adult head and neck cancer patients who underwent reconstruction with locoregional or microvascular free tissue transfers, higher modified frailty index‐5 (mFI‐5) scores were associated with 30‐day major cardiovascular events and mortality in the microvascular free tissue transfer subgroup.
