Lasalocid toxicosis is inadequately quantified for horses.
Veterinary and human toxicology, 2002The current estimate of LD50, 21.5 mg/kg BW, for lasalocid in horses is based on an analysis of 8 data from 4 horses that died at dose levels of 15, 21, 22 and 26 mg/kg. This analysis neglected 14 data from another 6 horses that survived at dose levels of 5, 10,14, 18, 19, 25, 29 and 50 mg/kg, and so was biased by selection of data.
