Architecture‐Interface Co‐Design of g‐C3N4 Driven Dry Thick Cathodes Enabling Fast Li‐Ion Transport
To break the energy–power trade‐off in dry‐processed thick cathodes, we use g‐C3N4 as a multifunctional additive. In content‐optimized single‐layer electrodes (∼21.5 mg cm−2), transient Li–N coordination lowers Li+ desolvation energy and improves wetting; together, these effects raise 3C capacity by 165.9% and power density by 2.85×.

In Situ Acoustic Monitoring of Focused Femtosecond Pulse Duration in Air
Air‐breakdown acoustics at the laser focus is used to determine femtosecond pulse duration with a simple USB microphone. By chirp‐tuning and compressing 1030 nm pulses from 241 to 50 fs, the acoustic amplitude scales inversely proportional to the square root of the pulse duration, enabling in situ readout over 50 fs–5 ps—crucial for precise pulse ...

Simple method for liquid analysis by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)
As a fast-developing technique for in situ multi-element analysis method, laser induced breakdown spectroscopy - LIBS is, however, developing slowly on liquid analysis due to some technical difficulties. We propose a new method, namely capillary mode, to quantify the concentrations of the elements in solution using LIBS.

ABSTRACT Corrosion remains a critical threat to the integrity and service life of infrastructure in industries such as oil, gas, construction, renewable energy, and transportation. Traditional inspection methods, being labor‐intensive, hazardous, and often subjective, fall short in addressing modern inspection demands.

Identification of offal adulteration in beef by laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)
Minced meat is the major ingredient in sausages, beef burgers, and similar products; and thus it is the main product subjected to adulteration with meat offal. Determination of this kind of meat adulteration is crucial due to religious, economic and ethical concerns.

The cost‐effective ammonium‐based ionic liquid electrolyte, N₁₁₁3FSI, suppresses polysulfide dissolution to sub‐millimolar levels in lithium–sulfur batteries. The electrolyte promotes efficient FSI− anion reduction, forming a dense, LiF‐rich solid‐electrolyte interphase on both the lithium metal anode and sulfur cathode. This dual‐electrode passivation

Conversion‐Type Anodes: Challenges, Mitigation Strategies, and Evaluation Guidelines
Conversion‐type anodes offer high theoretical capacity but exhibit coupled electrochemical, interfacial, mechanical, and transport limitations that complicate performance interpretation. A practical evaluation framework is presented to distinguish intrinsic reaction chemistry from electrode‐scale effects through complementary diagnostics and ...
