High sensitivity and detectivity of anomalous Hall sensor based on coupled magnetic bilayers
Detection of ultralow magnetic field requires a magnetic sensor with high sensitivity and a low noise level. In this work, we used the Co20Fe60B20/Ti/Co20Fe60B20 magnetically coupled multilayer as the core structure of an anomalous Hall sensor.

Maillard Type Reaction for Electroless Copper Plating onto Ceramic Nanoparticles
This work presents the manufacturing of copper‐plated ceramic nanoparticles in an environmentally friendly way. Supported by organic functionalizations with pectin an electroless plating step can be performed. Sustainable reagents like xylose, and several amino acids are used for the reduction process.

Al–Si alloys are particularly in demand for automotive and electronic applications, thanks to their excellent wear and thermal properties. Nevertheless, when processed by conventional methods with low cooling rates, the coarse primary Si phases are responsible for increasing brittleness and inducing crack propagation.

Scanning afocal laser velocimeter projection lens system [PDF]
A method and apparatus for projecting and focusing parallel laser light beams from a laser doppler velocimeter on a target area are described. The system includes three lenses. Two lenses work together as a fixed afocal lens combination.

Monoenergetic proton beams accelerated by a radiation pressure driven shock
High energy ion beams (> MeV) generated by intense laser pulses promise to be viable alternatives to conventional ion beam sources due to their unique properties such as high charge, low emittance, compactness and ease of beam delivery.

Ti-Al-Ta alloy for fuel cell bipolar plates with low contact resistance
Titanium and titanium alloys with surface-prepared coatings have excellent overall performance as bipolar plates for proton exchange membrane fuel cells, but the bare plates will form passivation films with poor electrical conductivity during service ...
