Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

A Normal Sensor Calibration Method Based on an Extended Kalman Filter for Robotic Drilling

open access: yesSensors, 2018
To enhance the perpendicularity accuracy in the robotic drilling system, a normal sensor calibration method is proposed to identify the errors of the zero point and laser beam direction of laser displacement sensors simultaneously.

Optimization of the Laser Drilling Processing Parameters for Carbon Steel Based on Multi-Physics Simulation

open access: yesMetals
The laser drilling of carbon steel is always suffered from the formation of slag, the presence of cutting burrs, the generation of a significant quantity of spatter, and the incomplete penetration of the substrate.

Maskless etching of silicon using patterned microdischarges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Microdischarges in flexible copper-polyimide structures with hole diameters of 200 µm have been used as stencil masks to pattern bare silicon in CF4/Ar chemistry. The discharges were operated at 20 Torr using the substrate as the cathode, achieving etch

Microporous Microgel Assemblies Facilitating the Recruitment and Osteogenic Differentiation of Progenitor Cells for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

A Novel Method to Reduce the Laser Drilling Time for Hole Cluster considering the Influence of Residual Vibration of the Sample Stage

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
In large areas of laser drilling, the residual vibration occurs when the sample stage moves in PTP (Point to Point) movement. It affects the surface quality and processing efficiency of the holes.
